Noll-Spangler National Historic Farm Visit
Union County Conservation District Manager Eric Nyerges makes an environmental presentation followed by an interpretive nature walk led by biologist and naturalist Jerry Hassinger.
The Noll-Spangler National Historic Farm, in conjunction with the Merrill Linn Conservancy’s “Caring for Communities” month, is holding an Earth Day presentation and Nature Walk on Saturday, April 27. The morning activities will begin at 10 a.m. with an environmental presentation by Union County Conservation District Manager Eric Nyerges in the farm’s historic bank barn, followed by an interpretive nature walk led by Jerry Hassinger, retired wildlife biologist and Ned Smith Center naturalist. Participants are urged to dress appropriately for the day’s weather. This free family event is open to all. Location: 1175 Wildwood Road, Mifflinburg. Directions: From Route 45 in Mifflinburg turn onto Route 104 toward Middleburg (for approx. 4 miles), turn left on Wildwood Road. The Farm is on the right. Look for the sign.
