“Our Stories”
...
are just that—the stories of our lives. Think of it as writing a letter to the editor, but about the really important stuff. Not what the zoning board did, but what your wife said when you asked her to marry you. Stories of life and death, love and triumph, loss, and gain. Stories of a life worth living and fighting for. Memories and stories of families, friends, and occasionally enemies, too, since a story needs some sort of conflict. Tell us about holidays, fishing, hunting, children coming home from college or leaving for good. I dunno, I’m making it up. They’re your stories, not mine. You tell me, send them to us, send them to Pat, share them with our 125,000 readers. Harry Potter’s story is done, the world needs new ones.
What do children say to you? “Tell me a story.”
-Michael Capuzzo
