"History Comes Alive"

From My Shelf bookstore will be hosting it's first annual "History Comes Alive" event. This years event will focus on Jacob Beser, the only man to fly with both missions over Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945. Presentations will be conducted by his son Jerome Beser, and family friend and co-author, Jack Spangler. A complete itinerary for the vent can be found below. Fri, Nov 9th: 7 – 9 pm at the Gmeiner Arts & Culture Center. An audio-visual presentation of Beser Atomic Archives, including photos, documents, radio interviews, and long-lost in-flight recording from “Enola Gay” mission will be presneted. A question & answer session will follow with light refreshments provided.
Sat, Nov 10th: 10 am - 6 pm at From My Shelf. A book signing event will run throughout the day. There is a limit of 200 copies of the 2007 Veterans Day commemorative edition
of the book, “The Rising Sun Sets.” Books will also come with a prerelease CD digital copy of the foundations’ archives.
