Tower of Power Show!

            There's an epidemic of Honky Pox sweeping our area and the cure of Soul Vaccination will be here and administered by Tower of Power on Saturday April 5th  8:15pm at the Riverview Holiday Inn, Elmira NY. Seating will be first come, first serve. No seating reservations. Doors open at 7:25 pm
            All kidding aside, if I can. A Dream come true for me is at my finger tips with booking TOP. Back in 1973 while playing our weekly gig at West's Motel in Mansfield PA., my brother-in-law (Gerry "Lee" White) said, "I want you to come out to my car and listen to this 8 track". We listened and he said. "Have you ever heard anything that tight in your life?" It was TOP playing" What is Hip".
I was in Soul shock I guess. We didn't want to go back in and finish our gig, but just sit there and listen to what became my all time favorite band ever. www.towerofpower.com
            In the last 11 years www.academycornersblues.com has promoted over 50 national touring and local  R&B, Blues, Rock, Celtic & Jam Bands  We've had a lot of success and have met a lot of Great people doing so. Like I said above, the opportunity of a life time is at my door step and I want all of you to witness the Awesome music of Tower of Power. 
            Along with a band of this stature comes a saltier than normal price tag (saltier than we've done before) Tickets for this event will be $45 and there will be a limited number sold because of the Holiday Inn Ball room size. I'm expecting that the show will sell out, That's why I'm getting words to Academy Corners Blues People first, before the show hits the press. Plus I'm nervous as hell that I won't cover the cost. So. If there was ever a show that I really, really, really and REALLY would like you to attend, THIS IS IT !!  Check your immunization records and I'll bet you'll find that you're due for a SOUL VACINATION ! !

P.S. Since I started this alert two days ago the TOP Show has now been confirmed. Ticket prices for this will be $45. Checks payable to: John L. Doan 5166 rt49 Knoxville PA 16928. Put your phone number with your check so I can call and confirm you ticket. All reservations must be accompanied with some sort of payment (example .gold, silver, apple pies, sides of beef, your wife,  fire wood, beer & chicken wings) you know! But no plastic.
